Best Water Distribution System in the State (for cities in the 10,000-50,000 population group)
Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP)
An on-site evaluation of Marietta's Water facilities and equipment was performed and included inspections of crews, facilities, vehicles and programs. One of the reasons Marietta Water won is that the department has a computerized work order system that integrated with the water system's maps. We also have well-trained and equipped personnel that are essential to our operation and maintenance programs. Marietta Water also won the award in 2001 and 2005. This year's win is a good reflection that we have an efficient organization comprised of dedicated and knowledgeable system operators. |
